When we had the great fortune to acquire it nearly fifty years ago, Hacienda El Bosque was about to be divided into parcels to be used for slash and burn farming and raising cattle. Many people have the desire to do something for the environment, but precious few have had this kind of opportunity to directly protect a whole watershed, with such unique biodiversity. It’s been a life-long adventure.
